Is Windows Vista Slow for you. Well you are not alone. Many people have discovered that the hardware requirements are far more demanding for Vista the XP. It used to be a Gig of memory was enough but for any person out there that has under 3 gigs of memory you really should consider upgrading your memory. This is just one small factor to why Windows Vista is So Slow.

To see what kind of memory your computer takes and what you currently have here are some links to check out. they open in a new window so you do not loose your place.

Kingston mem configurator : Just pick your brand and enter your model. From there you can see exactly what your computer can hold. Buying online will save you some bucks. We normally purchase hardware from. www.tigerdirect.com. FYI Go with a 2G DDR2 stick and not a 1G DDR2 stick. The price difference is not much and if this memory configurator says your computer can hold it then that is what you want.

To see how much memory is currenlty installed on your computer hit the windows start button and then right click on COMPUTER and select “Properties”. A new window will open and you can read din there how much memory you have installed.

Memory is not the only reason why Windows Vista is Slow. There are as always many facotrs. One of the biggest things you can do on your computer is get a tune-up for it. Places like this COMPUTER REPAIR site can help out big time. They remote into your computer and can fix just about anything. They do computer tune-ups for only 89 bucks. It’s a great way to get those quick fixes with out having to pay those high prices. Besides having a pro check it out you can also consider a registry cleaning program like Registry Mechanic. We have a direct link to the free trail here at Registry Mechanic. You have to make a purchase to do the registry cleanign but many of the optimization features are unlocked and ready to use. It’s a great program that we have been using for years and have found it can speed your comptuer by up to 30%. For what this program does it’s a great buy.

Why is my computer slow? That has to be one of the most asked computer repair questions I get. The best explanation I can give is by making an analogy. You own a car right? well every 4000 miles or 3 months you do an oil change to keep your car running smooth. Then once a year you take it in or at least you should tak it in and get a tune-up done. All the fluids get checked and if need be you replace the parts needed.

Your computer is no different. The only difference is it’s on the software side. Places like your registry need to be cleaned and oiled every few moths to keep your computer runnign smooth. This helps stop the crashes and will also speed your computer up.

There are several other items that need to be addresses as well. One of the most important is removing auto starting programs. Yes you may use adobe and office and photo software as well as a slue of other tools but these programs don’t need to auto start. Well most programs now adays pre-cache so when you do open them up they open faster. These programs need to be removed and that alone can make your computer roar again.

Other such things like defrag and the removal of junk temp files will also help to speed your copmuter up.

So the next time someone at work asks why my computer is slow? you can give them a great answer.

Now onto how to speed your computer up! This is the real part you have been waiting for. We recommend one of two things or you can always do both. The first is to download a copy of Registry Mechanic. This stuff is gold all by itself. They offer a free trial and it tkaes like 10 seconds to install so you should check it out. While it will not fix anything you can still demo it out and do the registry scan and hit the computer optimize section. This is an all in one tool that works wonders on peoples computers. We use it out in the field to help speed up clients copmuters and yes it works with Vista and XP.

The other method does cost more money but works better. The reason it works better is because you have a pro do a computer tune-up for you. The place to go is www.onlinecomputerrepair.org. We have been sending people their way for years. This is by far the best online computer repair company we have ever come across. They remote into your computer and do the tune-up or repair right then and there. It’s a great way to go and for a third of the cost of having a computer tech out to your house.

regardless of what method you choose you should get a tune-up done once a year or at least every other year. This will ensure your computer stays problem free. By taking a pro active role you can keep your copmuter from slowing down.

With Vista taking a steady hold on the market it seems many people out there want to know the best way to clean the Vista registry. It is very important to keep you registry clean and the Vista OS is no exception. After testing several tools out in Vista we have finally found the one that takes the cake. It was the first tool we tried and the reason is simple. It’s from the smae makers to the only anti-virus and anti-spyware software we promote on this site. The program is called Registry Mechanic and it really does work wonders. With this automatic registry repair and Vista cleaning tool it is hard to mess things up. when you scan using Registry Mechanic you get to backup you registry before any thing is done. This simple yet important step is missing on many of the free clients out there. After the scan you simply have to hit one button to do a repair and removal of invalid entries. This program also features many other do it yourslef tools to help speed up your computer and maximize it’s performance.

THe guy took the cake because it takes no computer knowledge to use this program. It really is that simple to use. Great advances have been made in this product since is first came out and for the most part it is all automated. You say yes I want to optimize my computuer and Registry Mechanic gets to work.

Not everyone is comfortable messing with their own computer. I know far too many people that tend to push way too many buttons. Registry Mechanic takes the fear out of things so you do not have to think twice.

For those that are still hesatent to even use this program you can also just download the free trial and install it and run thhe scan. No it wont’ remove or do anything for you untill you purchase it but you can at least see for yourself how easy it is to use.

If you are still on the call about things but know your computer needs a little help then consider having a pro take a look at it. As always we have a place for you to go. Head over to this SLOW COMPUTER reapiar site. These guys can remote into your computer and take care of everything for you for 89 bucks. It’s far cheaper then calling a tech out to the home and the results are great. Easy on the wallet and a great service for those that need a computer tune-up.

When you try and print in IE7 ( internet explorer 7 ) your printer just spills out a bunch of giberish other wise known as html code. Well if this is you then there are some very simple fixes for the printing html code. I have seen some people out there writing registery fixes for this but it’s not all that hard.

If you have XP then click the Windows “Start button > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Set Program Access and Defaults (this one is on the left bottom side of the box. Now select Custom and press the down arrow over on the right. The First thing you see is : Change a default Web Browser. Choose Internet Explorer or whatever your browser is that you use. Now close and re-open your web browser and click the print button. Walla!!! problem solved.

If you have Vista then click the Windows Start button and then choose “Default Programs” Make IE or whatever your web broswer is your default again and your good to go.

Many people want to know how this happened in the first place. Often times whe you un-install a program like AOL or Earthlink your default web broswer was never re-set. When this happen you get the pinting html code thing.

If this worked for you POST a reply and let us and others know.

The release of Window’s Vista was a remarkable phenomenon for computer users. Within a few months of being out in the market, numerous problems and flaws regarding the operating system already came into being. That’s why a lot of Vista users are having a lot of minor to major setbacks from the program.

If you are one of those Vista users having a problem with your operating system, then computer repair must be a regular thing you do. Sometimes, cleaning up and updating your system becomes a chore, a very irritating and boring routine to be exact. But due to the great innovations of technology, now there can be an answer for your problem.

You can now repair Vista online! Yes, you read it right; you can actually repair your Vista online, without having to go out to bring your computer to a service center or have a technician visit you at home.

Making Life Easier: Repair Vista Online

Your life can be a lot easier, when you repair Vista online. But how is this possible? —Easy, through online computer repair. This is a method in which you can have your computer fixed by a professional technician by the means of an Internet connection.

There are a lot of online computer repair service providers that also answer your Vista problems and needs. All you have to do is call them up and ask for assistance. Then you will be asked about your problem and be connected to a technician that would fix your Vista problem for you. We recommend using the services over at www.onlinecomputerrepair.org because they guys are very affordable and have a no fix no fee policy.

Most Common Vista Problems

There are numerous problems encountered with Vista. However, some are rare cases and some of them are very common. One of these common Vista problems is the backing up of files. This has become an issue because only Vista Ultimate and Business have the feature of full image backup.

Another common Vista problem is its vulnerability of being infected by the Vundo virus, which is a spyware that would make your system slower and would cause a lot of popup ads to appear.

Vista can sometimes have a malfunction with a lot of software that you install. That’s why software manufacturers tend to publish a new version of their software that is “Vista ready”.

These are just some of the reasons why most consumers are unwilling to change and upgrade to Vista. If you’re already a Vista user, you don’t have to worry that much anymore. The said problems are answerable, and can be treated by having an online repair session. So instead of pondering much on your problem, repair Vista online now, and you can say goodbye to your Vista problems!
