When you copy files, move them or try and rename them in Windows Vista it takes a long time. At the time of this post the issue is unresolved.  Microsoft will have a fix soon so be sure and visit their site and see.  For the moment we can disable thumbnails and speed the process up.  This is easy to do.  Got to the Tools Tab and then select Folder Options, Click View and then Advanced Settings, Check the box that says Always show icons, never thumbnails.  This will speed the process up because when you are copying and moving the files Windows Vista creates thumbnails even if you do not have that view selected.
If a fix comes out and you see it first be sure and post bellow to let others know.
