Vista error Stop 0x0000009F error message (DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE)

If you are getting an error in Windows Vista that says Stop 0x0000009F when loading Windows after hibernation chances are you have an IEEE 1394-based device connected. You will need to go to the Microsoft site and download the latest update. The upgrade file you need is 929762. Click here to go to the site

It looks like they have not fixed it all for about a week ive been having this problem on my gateway p-7805u ive done everything including install a new harddrive i started looking at my event logs what i found supprised me ive been looking at pictures from my SD card and left it in turns out that has been causing my issues. my windows vista x64 is also fully updated

I have the same computer and the same issue. I have yet to dry the fix mentioned above, but thanks for the tip on the SD card. I have one that I keep in all the time and perhaps that is what is causing so much trouble. I will be doing some experimenting
