If your Vista Computer is over heating here are a few tips to trouble shoot your computer.

The first thing it to regognize the symptoms.  Norrmally when your CPU gets too hot your computer will shut it’s self off automatically.  This is to enusre your computer will not be damaged. This happens more in notebooks then in desktops but the symptoms are the same.

One of the first things to do is to check your CPU manufacturers website and see what the adequet temperature range is. You want your processor to be in the mid to low range.

Make sure your computer has properventalation.  Your computer being inside a cabinet  can cause heat issues because your system does not have propper ventalation.  Another common issue is your computer being too dusty inside.  This dust can slow the fans and also increase heat.  Take a can of air and clean your computer out.  This should be done every 6-12 months.  This will also help to extend the life of the electronic components.

You can use the task manage to check the current temperature of your CPU.
